physicality and emotion are not mutually inclusive. opening your mind to someone is truly intimate. what comes out of your mouth, not what you do with it. complete mental transparancy is intimate. the act of sharing your body isn’t always significant, it’s fluid, it’s whatever you want it to be when and if you want it to be anything. valuing the company of another person to the point where you can comfortably divulge your most private thoughts, to the point where you’ll actually expose yourself is true communion, more than taking your clothes off will ever be.
